Wine Dictionary – Wine “Legs”
Legs, also known as tears, are the slow dripping droplets of red or white wine that run down the inside of your wine glass after you swirl it. There is a notion that a wine with slow-dripping droplets is an indicator that the wine will be fuller in taste. It’s sort of a visual viscosity check. Sometimes a wine’s legs can be a good indictor of a fuller tasting wine, while some may not hold true to this idea. Additionally, some wine critics believe that long slow dripping legs are an indictor of the wine’s quality.
This begs the question: Does a wine need legs to kick someone’s ass?

Mark,
You have outdone yourself. The site is impressive; I hope this doesn’t mean you’ll stop using the Sharpie wine bottle numbering system at parties?
