It is soft. Most of the time I hate reds because they are too strong and often bitter and I find whites too sweet so I go for the aquavit, vodka, or a mixed drink. However, these reds make drinking wine enjoyable for me. I particularly like the Carmenere. I have had a lot of different wines and I actually live a few miles from a winery, but this label is the only one I buy, ever. I actually love both of these wines for the reason you do not.
